The Humpty-Dots
New York: Susan Holton, 1945. First edition. 9.5x8.5" [112]pp. Red, white, and blue illustrations throughout by Donald Deconn. Publisher's red cloth boards with white lettering in illustrated jacket. Boards with a few smudges, spine cocked. Jacket with chipping at head of spine and upper corner of front panel, and a few edge tears. Very good.
Scarce, self-published patriotic children's books issued on the heels of WWII. The rhyming stories show the kind and inquisitive little Humpty-Dots engaged in familiar activities such as aeroplane and ship voyages, parades, skating, and more, with a Mother-Goose twist to each tale.
OCLC cites 3 holdings, likely not in as nice condition and in the jacket. Item #9925
