Scarce inscribed copy of this photo history of one of Santa Monica's landmark restaurants, Madame Wu's Garden, which operated on Wilshire Boulevard from 1959-1998. Sylvia Wu (1915-2022) immigrated to New York from Japanese-occupied China in 1944, later moving to Los Angeles and opening her restaurant there. She also authored several cookbooks, and in 1985, became the first woman in 70 years to be named Los Angeles Restaurateur of the Year. Item #9823
