Publisher's blue textured cloth stamped in gilt and with bright, illustrated paste-on on front cover, in the original, illustrated jacket. Some smudging to fore edge of page block, light wear to boards else near fine in very good example of the scarce jacket with some smudging to rear panel, light chipping at spine ends and corners, and a few edge tears.
Lovely copy of this collection of popular wildlife narratives by Howard Allison Sturtzel (1894-1985) writing as Paul Annixter. This is the first book published by Annixter, and contains striking illustrations by Charles Livingston Bull (1874-1932), who was known for his wildlife illustration. Very scarce in the jacket.
