Includes five issues from 1973 (April, June, October-December) and February 1975. This publication started in 1942 as Negro Digest, took a brief hiatus from 1951-1961 and then rebranded as Black World in 1970. Its final issue was April 1976.
Negro Digest/Black World was meant to be similar to Reader's Digest but aimed to cover positive stories about the African-American community. Its impact was significant on the Black Arts Movement and Black activism in the 1960s and early 1970s.
