Bound in black cloth backed pale paper boards with gilt lettering on spine in black cloth slipcase. Few minor spots to boards, small scuff at base of spine else a near fine copy in bumped slipcase with a few scuffs and some rubbing.
First separate and illustrated edition of this Jeffers poem first collected in Dear Judas in 1929. This book beautifully designed by Merle Armitage and printed by Anderson, Ritchie and Simon, with original etchings by the Carmel, California painter and illustrator, Jean Kellogg (1910-1995).
