Conway, MA: Robert L. Merriam, Ca. 1977-81. First editions. 6 miniature books, the largest 6.5x6cm, some with illustrations, each staple bound in colored card wrappers and housed in paper slipcase with printed labels. Generally near fine, some fading to slipcases.
6 nicely printed miniatures from the antiquarian bookshop owner and printer, Robert L. Merriam of Conway, Massachusetts. He published a series of 13 of these, basically his attempt to create stories similar to those moral tales from Victorian times. Includes:
The Darling Twins, Pleasant Beth, J. Hamilton Rose, Moses Washington, John Carson, and The Stories of the Ants. All except the last title are limited to 1000 copies, with The Ants limited to 350 and signed at the rear by Merriam. Item #9326
