Educational Archive Featuring WWII Era Primary School Assignments

Missoula, MT: 1938-1991. 11" x 15" black spiral-bound scrapbook, 26 panels with 44 pages filled and 8 blank (some with fading that suggest lost items), a few items have become detached and are laid in, but most remain in very good condition. Also contains two certificates in leather cases, photo, newspaper, and other ephemera.

Archive of student work and other ephemera from Missoula County Public schools, mainly Paxson Elementary School, but also materials from Presbyterian School of Missoula, Lincoln School, Missoula County High School, and the University of Montana. A charming showcase of the progression from young scholar, artist, and thespian to accomplished teacher.

The primary school materials contain several examples of manuscript writing, cut and paste paper activities - some with moveable parts, mimeograph worksheets, recital programs, report cards, a few black and white photographs, and one page with a birthday party invitation and decorations.

Includes junior high/high school pictures, programs and diploma, an original sketch - presumably by a classmate, four copies of the Daily Missoulian's social page dated March 26, 1956 (featuring an article on her wedding), and a teacher's certificate of appreciation from Tacoma Public Schools dated 1991. .
