Daughter of the Tejas
Greenwich, CT: New York Graphic Society Publishers, Inc., 1965. First edition. Hardcover in illustrated jacket by Raymond Cruz. Signed by McMurtry on the title page. Small stain to bottom edge of front board. Jacket price clipped else minimal wear. Near fine.
Ophelia Ray wrote this and at least one other book for young adults, Young Hidalgo, in 1968. For Daughter of the Tejas, her first book, she reached out to fellow Texan, Larry McMurtry who helped with/ghost wrote a small portion of the novel. Ophelia Ray was not a pseudonym for McMurtry, which is often mistakenly stated. In any event, a nice copy of this title signed by McMurtry. Item #8092
Price: $100.00
