Allahabad: The Panini Office, 1917, 1918. Second edition. Sammelband of 3 works, 9.5x6.5", [5], xvii, 32, iipp; [5], xiv, 86pp; and [3], xiv, 154pp. In English and Sanskrit. Indian binding of soft red leather with gilt ruling and lettering on spine, speckled page edges, metallic cloth endpapers. Spine toned, few scuffs to boards. Samuel Weiser ticket at front, some scattered light foxing, page block toned. Housed in a cloth slipcase.

Set of three works, likely issued together and being translations of foundational Bhakti Yoga texts with commentary.  The first two are translated into English by Nandalal Sinha with the third being credited to "A.B." 

The Narada Bhakti Sutra is a well known and revered Hindu text, reportedly spoken by the famous sage, Narada.  The aphorisms offer a deep exploration of process of Bhakti yoga.

The Shandilya Sutram, also known as Shandilya Bhakti Sutras, is a collection of 100 devotional aphorisms. It explains the path of love and devotion for God and how to cultivate this spiritual virtue.


Bhakti-Ratnavali is a collection of verses from the Srimad Bhagavata, compiled by Vishnu Puri, that provides a systematic outline of the philosophy and practice of Bhakti.
