Inscribed first issue of Big Table containing "Ten Episodes from Naked Lunch" which was published by Irving Rosenthal after he left the Chicago Review due to censorship by the University.  A lovely association, this copy signed for legendary Greenwich Village book dealer who owned Greenwich Books and the Rare Book Room, Roger Richards.  Greenwich books was a haven for the Beats and other literary figures in midcentury New York.  Richards was close with Burroughs, Corso, Ginsberg, and was a regular at Andy Warhol's Factory. 

The story behind this inscription, from the third party for whom it was intended, was:  Richards met Burroughs at the Chelsea Hotel, where he was living, to have a few items inscribed for a longtime client. The two old friends ended up hanging out and decided to get stoned.  The first item, Big Table, was mistakenly inscribed to Richards before Burroughs got it right for the others.  

An iconic piece of Beat Generation history with a nice association from someone who had a large hand in it.
