Wonderfully preserved copy in the scarce double dust jackets of this translation of Father Pedro Font's complete manuscript diary. Font was the chaplain of Juan Bautista de Anza's expedition, which explored Alta, California from 1773-1775. Early San Francisco history with an interesting ownership provenance, from the collection of journalist and publisher of the San Diego Union, James S. Copley.
