Bound Collection of Sigma Tau Service Letters

Seattle: Sigma Tau Chapter of Phi Gamma Delta, 1942-46. 14x9" bound volume of 44 issues, various paginations and sizes. Photographs. Blue morocco, spine lettered in gilt. Laid in is a photograph, likely of the WWII servicemen in the group, a letter discussing research of the Ephebic Oath of the chapter, and a printed copy of the oath. Contents nearly fine, boards with wear and rubbing to corners and spine ends.

Large collection of University of Washington Sigma Tau chapter service letter publication, printed to keep those Fijis serving in WWII up to date on all the goings on within the fraternity.  The first issue is dated in January of 1942, and the last February, 1946.  Most issues are mimeographed in long page format, a few with printed wrappers.  The Christmas issues are generally a bit more attractively printed, with photographs and in one instance, on glossy stock.  Contains a wealth of information on the War in the form of letters from the servicemen.  A scarce and perhaps unique collection.
