Lincoln Die Cut Display Sign
Kansas City: Shaw Advertising Co., [1905]. 15 x 10," cardboard, metal staples. Very good with partial tear in two places to flagpole, overall fading to color and a few stains. Die cut paper display sign for Halverson & Son Harness and Saddlery Shedds, Oregon ca. 1905, depicting a bust of Lincoln with eagle and flag. Perhaps used for calendars and/or catalogs.
Shaw Manufacturing Co. was originally known as Shaw Stationary out of Peabody, KS. The company moved to Kansas City in February of 1905, rebranded, and began selling advertising pieces such as this to businesses in the West and Southwest. Little can be found on Halverson & Son. Item #4589
