New River Number One with Signed Card and Letter Carbon Copy
Dallas: The Texas Bookman, 1969. 1st Edition. Soft cover. First issue, containing the early Larry McMurtry piece, "Chili With Beans." Included is a carbon copy of a letter from Yellow Barn Press bibliographer, Jack Walsdorf, asking McMurtry to inscribe some books via mail. There is also a holograph, signed slip of paper from McMurtry in response stating "I don't inscribe magazines, learned my lesson, Larry." The New River is very good with some soiling and toning to wrappers, clean internally. The signed paper shows some wrinkling, and the carbon copy of the Walsdorf letter is near fine. Very Good.
