Wyoming territory allowed women to vote and hold office after the passage of a suffrage bill in 1869, and of course became the first state to do so in 1890 as they joined the Union. Single sheet, 8.5"x5.5." "Laramie, WYoming, November 5, 1894. Dear Madam: You will confer a great favor on this committee and greatly lighten the labor and expense of getting out the Democratic vote if you will make it a SPECIAL POINT to go the polls and vote as early as possible in the FORENOON tomorrow. We hope you will not feel that this is asking too much of you, or that it is a trivial matter to us. We assure you that it is more important than you think. Yours sincerely, J. T.
