Four-page prospectus for the Roxburghe Library tipped in at the front, stating that the edition was limited to 170 copies. Bookplate of John Shelly to front pastedown; “Withdrawn by the Law Society” stamp to verso of title page. Calf rubbed at spine ends and along the joints; scattered light foxing, otherwise very good internally.
From a series of fine reprints of rare Elizabethan texts for the Roxburghe club, maintaining the original Middle English spelling. Scarce, and with the prospectus tipped in. Item #10328
