A strange piece of German-American occultism by Felix Schmidt, who is described in Cleveland newspapers of the time as a German-language lecturer in occult science. The text is the supposed testimony of an old German mystic living alone on a remote Montana farm, and received telepathically by Schmidt. It details the unnamed "Hermit's" travels through North Africa and India, his encounters with a hidden school of initiates in the Himalayas led by "Master Z," and his ensuing instruction in the occult.
