An Ex-Sorcerer Becomes an Evangelist

Cote d'Ivoire: Traducentre, 2000. First edition, English translation. 8vo. 143pp. Illustrated wraps with light smudging, inscribed on the title page, near fine.

An uncommon conversion narrative by Beninese evangelist Megnanou Bienvenu, recounting his former life as a sorcerer before his conversion to Christianity. Inscribed on the title page, apparently by Bienvenu: “You have victory in name Jesus,” followed by a large signature or flourish. Published the same year as the French edition, of which OCLC records only ten holdings; we find no institutional holdings for this English translation. Item #10323
