[New York]: 1967. Single sheet, 27x18cm, 9 lines on Kazan's stationary, signed in blue ink, in typed, and stamped mailing envelope. Transmittal folds else fine in envelope that shows some toning to edges.
Interesting letter from influential American writer and director, Elia Kazan (1909-2003) to Ralph B. Potts of Seattle declining an invitation, and briefly mentioning his book The Arrangement, which was published that year and which at least briefly discusses the Emerald City.

Potts (1901-1991)  was an important figure in civic organizations in Seattle, founding the Pacific Northwest Writers Conference, Seattle Repertory Theater, and Allied Arts of Seattle.  He was also a writer, lawyer, and political reformer, being a founding member of the young men's non-partisan organization, New Order of Cincinnatus.
