Dallas: J. F. Worley Directory Co., 1916. Quarto, 10.5x7," 964, [2]pp. Pink, yellow, and white paper throughout, text block stamped with ads on all edges. Blue cloth boards lettered in silver in very good condition with some rubbing at corners and along edges, light fraying to small portion of rear joint. Binder's stamp on front endpaper else clean and sound internally.
Nicely preserved and comprehensive directory from the booming time in Dallas.  The years surrounding the first World War saw the city as an economic hub of the South, producing much of the country's cotton.  Opening in the year of this directory was the Eddie Bernice Johnson Union Station.  Several years later, Dallas would become the center of the nation's petroleum market.  

Uncommon, and more so in this condition. Item #5111
