Boston: Little, Brown and Company, 1923. First edition. 8vo, 108pp. Full color frontispiece and four other plates by Gertrude A. kay. Blue cloth with pictorial paper onlay to front board. Very good with some edgewear and dulling to spine lettering. Bookstore ticket attached below former owner's gift inscription on front pastedown. Old, neat tape reinforcement at hinges of two plates, some foxing to margins, else clean internally. Early children's work from the American author and Journalist from New York, Sarah Addington. Beautifully illustrated by Gertrude Kay (1884-1939), who was a student of Howard Pyle and worked mainly in children's books and magazines during the golden age of illustration. Item #4932
